NEWS: In January 2008, all cruises were suspended with no public announcement by SunCruz. Workers told Central Florida News 13 they received a notice saying the casino ship
would no longer sail from Ponce Inlet. The SunCruz website subsequently said Ponce Inlet operations have been suspended "until further notice."
The SunCruz III is a 150-foot boat which carries about 500 gamblers on day cruises from its dock adjacent to the Down the Hatch Restaurant in Ponce Inlet just south of Daytona Beach.
In adddition to offering 222 slots and the full array of table games (blackjack, craps, roulette, poker), SunCruz also has a sports book enabling gamblers to bet on their favorite college or professional team.
The SunCruz III sails twice daily, at 11 in the morningand 7 every evening. Reservations are recommended.
