St. Tropez - Some Cruises Cancelled - Call Ahead

The future of St. Tropez Casino Cruises, which operates the smallest and newest of the three ships at Port Everglades that offer day cruises, remains in doubt as it struggles to continue taking gamblers to sea while in Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.

St. TropezThe St. Tropez sails twice daily, at 11:30 in the morning and 7:45 in the evening (6:45 on Sundays), and a spokesperson said the bankruptcy has not affected operations.

But the bankruptcy trustee cancelled both cruises on the Friday of the Memorial Day weekend, and said the weekend's schedule was a "sail-by-sail decision."

Anyone booked on Memorial Day weekend cruises certainly should call ahead before going to the port.

The ship has more than 425 slot machines, and 36 tables offering blackjack, craps, roulette, bacarrat, Let It Ride, Caribbean stud power and Pai Gow poker. It also has 11 tables of live poker.
