Sterling Casino Lines -- Ambassador II

NEWS: The Ambassador II, which returned to service in February after being idled for almost three months while repairs were performed to its starboard main engine, was shut down on March 6th after failing to pass the Coast Guard's annual inspection. The issues were fixed in a couple of days and the ship is again sailing.

Sterling Casino Lines bills its 440-foot ship, Ambassador II, as the largest casino ship in the world, and offering 26,000 square feet of gaming in four casinos, and if you exclude some of the big Asian casino ships, it certainly ranks right up there.

The ship, which has a capacity of 1,800 passengers, offers 1,000 slots and 50 table games including blackjack, roulette, mini-baccarat and craps. The ship sails twice daily -- at 11 in the morning and 7 in the evening -- from Port Canaveral's Cruise Terminal 2.

There is no admission fee, but contacting Sterling for reservation information is advised.
