Less than a half hour west of Miami, Miccosukee Resort & Gaming is located along the southeastern edge of the Florida Everglades.
Miccosukee Resort & Gaming provides guests with hotel, convention and special event accommodations; five dining options, from a steakhouse featuring exotic specialties an International Buffet; daily live entertainment, dancing, and big name shows and sports events.
It also provides 24-hour-a-day gaming.
Miccosukee Resort & Gaming looks like a Las Vegas casino (well, maybe a downtown Las Vegas casino), sounds like a Las Vegas casino, and has the ambiance of a Las Vegas casino. But at present, it does not have Las Vegas casino games.
The Class II gaming permitted at present limits Miccosukee Resort and Gaming to 1,000 Video Pull-Tab Machines, 58 Poker Tables featuring Omaha Hi-Low 8 or better, Texas Hold'Em, 7 Card and scheduled Poker Tournaments, Lightning Lotto and High Stakes Bingo.
Real slots, and games like blackjack, roulette and craps -- all Class III gaming -- are currently not offered. However, despite this limitation, some gamers obviously are having a good time. Miccosukee Resort and Gaming claims that monthly jackpots are currently running in excess of $22,000,000.
Miccosukee Resort & Gaming is located on the Tamiami Trail, just over 10 miles west of Route 836 in Miami.
