Immediately adjacent to the old Pompano Park Harness Track, once known as the "Winter Capital of Harness Racing," the Isle of Capri Casino company has built what is far and away Florida's most attractive racino -- The Isle at Pompano Park.

The two-story, 157,000-square-foot Isle Casino -- which since opening in April 2007 has done far better than any of the other South Florida racinos -- offers 1,500 Class III slot machines.
While Florida casinos at present are limited to slots and are not allowed to offer Class III table games like blackjack, roulette or craps, the Isle in all other respects has the look, feel and amenities of a big-time casino.
The heart of the brightly-colored casino interior is a multi-story feature bar offering high action imagery and audio on multiple video displays.
The project also includes new racing amenities including a high-tech sports bar, a simulcasting wagering area over-looking the track and a new Winner's Circle.
The Isle Casino also offers patrons a choice of four restaurants including the company-branded Farraddays' steakhouse, signature tropical-themed buffet, a full-service New York-style delicatessen and Italian osteria created by accomplished chef Luke Palladino.
A very attractive 34-table high-stakes poker area opened on the second floor of the Isle Casino building in May 2007 (see photo below).
Florida state law currently only allows the Isle poker room to operate 12 hours a day, but the casino's poker room has emerged as a strong competitor to nearby Seminole casinos, offering daily multi-table no limit Texas hold 'em tournaments and running single table tournaments as high as $800.
Isle of Capri is one of the ten largest publicly held gaming companies in the United States.
While Pompano Park, acquired by Isle of Capri more than a decade ago, is the company's only racino, the gaming company owns and operates riverboat, dockside and land-based casinos at sixteen locations in Colorado, Iowa, Louisiana, Mississippi, as well as casinos in the Bahamas and the United Kingdom..
