Man Dies After Being Found Bleeding From Head in Bathroom of Sun Cruz Casino Ship

A 49-year-old man, who had sailed on a Sun Cruz Casino ship out of Port Canaveral, was found bleeding from his head inside a men's room on the ship and subsequently died.

James Michael Burgess of Satellite Beach, who was apparently alone on the ship, was found lying face down in a pool of blood late Sunday. He was treated by medical personnel on the ship before he was taken to Cape Canaveral Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:37 April 6th.

The Brevard County Sheriff's Office homicide unit initially labeled Burgess' death "suspicious," but an autopsy subsequently found that the man apparently died of natural causes.
